About
In 2014 OneLife, formerly established as "The UWI OneLife" or "The UWI OneLife Outreach Programme", was established by the Office of Student Services and Development to serve as a facilitator of public service and outreach activities in which both students and faculty are involved. Over the years we have expanded our reach with chapters across the WJC and St. Augustine campus.
The group targets vulnerable groups in Jamaica and regionally, including but not limited to the elderly and the orphaned. In this, OneLife strives to reach the most vulnerable groups in hopes of providing some form of upliftment from their current predicament. The theme of the group is and shall always portray: "Helping 1 life... Starts with you". The group and its associates understand the importance of positive social contribution. The programme will include various facets, our major one being 1). Providing scholarships and bursaries for the furtherance of education for “at-risk” or vulnerable youth; 2). Providing philanthropic and charitable services to other at risk and vulnerable groups in society who contribute to Jamaica’s social development through constructive means.
Our Mission
The programme seeks to impact the lives of students through education. It will also facilitate
the execution of cultural and social interventions. In preparing students to be civic minded, this
programme directly supports the vision of the university; in fostering the development of the
distinctive graduate.

Our Vision
The OneLife Outreach Programme is a student-focused organization whose vision is to
utilize any resources available to empower and inspire members of marginalized communities as
social entrepreneurs in various industries.
